Another week, Another update

In Rust, Updates by DestinyLeave a Comment

This week is a pretty interesting update week, with some long-awaited features such as changes to the wounded state and how player revival works, and some surprises, like the double-barrel shotgun and satchel charges!

The long-awaited ROTATE Tool

This tool allows you to rotate objects using the R key as you go to place them – a feature players have been asking about for years!

Satchel charges

Satchel charges have finally been added, providing players with a lower level raiding tool. Taking only a satchel and 4 beancan grenades to craft, the Satchel Charge provides players with an early-game alternative to C4! They are very effective against wooden doors and sheet metal doors, so be prepared to craft some for some early-game raiding soon!

Double barrel shotgun

A new gun that packs a punch! The double-barrel shotgun has been implemented, which holds two shells before needing to be reloaded.

Crafting cost: 500 Wood, 150 Metal Fragments, 5 High Quality Metal

Changed default crafting times

Halved crafting times for ladder, bed, campfire, ceiling light, cupboard, bow, and crossbow. More than halved crafting time of explosives and gunpowder.

Wounded State Change

Being wounded actually matters now. It has been changed so that you cannot move while reviving someone, and the interaction menu takes 6 seconds to complete. Being downed is much more dangerous now, it seems!

Other Changes

  • Autoturret health increased, armor increased, damage increased by 50%
  • Lowered level to unlock various items, including barricades, ladder, spike trap, and armored door
  • Reduced sulfur cost of C4 by 20%
  • Item condition now shows on items as a red bar
